BEAR NECESSITIESDecorated in a mountain country theme, Bear Necessities, located in the North Georgia Mountains and close to Ellijay and Blue Ridge, is just what the doctored ordered. Come on over and decompress a bit next to Briar Creek.
Bear Necessities is one of those cabins that when the guests are leaving they are always wishing they could stay just one more day! Adjacent to Briar Creek, this cabin boast a real wood burning fireplace where the dog can curl up to sleep and you can sit on the ultra cozy couch and watch your favorite show, or just simply read that book you've been meaning to get to.
Let's take a quick tour (and please look at all the pictures - words cannot describe the cabin and property adequatley) around the cabin starting with the fact that there are four ways to stay warm and comfortable at the cabin. First you can build a beautiful fire in the firepit which sits right next to the Briar Creek (don't let the word creek fool you - this is really a small river). Here you will make some of the best smores you have ever made! The second place with be the indoor wood burning fireplace which is a decoration all by itself with the natural rock's face. Third and fourth are a propane heating unit and of course, electric heat as well. If that doesn't do the trick, there are rolled up blankets in baskets scattered around the living room for you to take advantage of.
The living room is decorated so cute! That is the word. Cute! The bear colletion will delight you as you sit on the comfy couch or one of the comfortable chairs. The living room is where the fireplace is located and next to this is the kitchen which is completely outfitted for your culinary adventures (and yes, there is a propane grill on the screened in deck). Literatlly everything most people will need is already in the kitchen! Just bring your favorite groceries. :-)
Next to the kitchen you will find a country table made of wood with matching chairs and these are next to the small hallway that leads to the downstairs master bedroom. This room has a comfortable queen size bed with warm blankets and white hotel style linens. The room also has a chest of drawers and is well lit with a big window looking outside.
On the other side of the hallway is the bathroom which has a shower/tub combination and is nicely decorated in the mountain country theme. The bathroom is clean and well kept and the towels are all sparkling white (again hotel style towels).
Adjacent to the living room are the stairs that lead up to the loft where you will find another queen size bed, nicely appointed with comfortable linens. This room has a large window which lets in a lot of light making the room unique as the wood from the roof comes to life with the light on it.
Stepping through the door on the far side of the living room will take you onto the screened in deck overlooking the Creek. Because the cabin sits high up on the hillside, the feeling is one of being in a treehouse. It is easy to see yourself having your cup of coffee here in the morning and greeting the day in beauty and tranquility with the only sounds keeping you company gurgling giggle of the creek below.
The property down by the creek is designed for fun, food and friends. A faux bridge. A picnic table. A meandering path. All leading the firepit by the creekside. I don't think it gets any better.
Reserved your spot today and don't wait another minute.
